Re-Turning the Past: Cultural Icons Recast
June 22 – October 11, 2004

Outdoor sculptures cast in bright, hand dyed, translucent rubber were commissioned by ICA/Boston in collaboration with Boston National Historical Park for the Vita Brevis project. Revisiting the meaning of seventeenth and eighteenth century architectural ornament, finials, urns and windows were cast and reconfigured as freestanding sculptures surrounding the Paul Revere House courtyard - one of the city’s few remaining structures from the seventeenth century. The "Window" was cast from the actual Paul Revere House. View Paul Revere House website. View ICA/Boston website.
